Wicker Park Real Estate Market

Wicker Park is undeniably one of Chicago’s trendiest neighborhoods and its popularity only seems to be growing by the day. The six corners where Milwaukee Avenue, North Avenue, and Damen Avenue intersect acts as the epicenter of Wicker Park and where you'll find countless bars, restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, and art galleries spread out in every direction. A number of record stores, book stores, and specialty grocery stores also help maintain Wicker Park’s quirky reputation, but it’s small businesses like these that also happen to be why it’s such a beloved community to so many Chicagoans. Easy access to the 606 Trail also makes living in Wicker Park appealing, especially for anyone who loves to get outside and stay active. For any foodies out there, the Division Street restaurant scene in Wicker Park has also evolved into one of the city’s best, and who doesn’t love a visit to Big Star on a hot summer day? As for the Wicker Park housing market, some might say it’s just as desirable as the neighborhood itself. Charming workers cottages and historic brownstone and walk-ups are neighborhood favorites and you’ll even find a nice supply of authentic residential loft conversions in parts of Wicker Park as well. In recent years, however, new construction has been on the rise, which means luxury home buyers shouldn’t have much trouble finding a home with plenty of modernist flair.

Lifestyle Amenities & Attractions in Wicker Park

As mentioned above, Division Street in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood is loaded with restaurants, bars, and cafes. For those who love a good patio in the summertime, Division Street might just have one of the best outdoor dining scenes in all of Chicago. Milwaukee Avenue is also one of the more vibrant corridors in the Windy City as well. It’s here you’ll find a great mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, and for our money, the Den Theatre on Milwaukee is one of Chicago’s more underrated spots for classic and contemporary plays, as well as stand-up comedy every now and then. The neighborhood’s namesake park is also a pleasant place to frequent in the summer, and it also has a great little playground area for the kids too.

Wicker Park Transit

The CTA Blue line serves the Wicker Park neighborhood. Locals will find stations at Ashland and Division, and also at the Milwaukee, North, and Damen intersection. Major CTA bus lines include the #50 (Damen), the #56 (Milwaukee), the #72 (North), the #9 (Ashland), and the #49 (Western).
